Sisters!

God created this amazing relationship called sisters.  We live together, play together, fight together, worship together and grow up together.  I have two sisters and its been so much fun to become closer through the years.  We aren't just sisters--we are best friends and no matter what happens we will always be there for each other.  I'm not sure when this picture was but it was around 2011-2013 Bess and I at her last recital las May Grabbing lunch during our home remodel. This picture was taken in April of last year And this is a recent picture, taken on my grandmothers birthday. All I can say is I thank God for my sisters and all my family. Your Friend, Haviland~

In Loving Memory of Paul Valdez

Dear Readers, This past Friday at 5:10 Am, a very dear member of our family passed away unexpectedly. Although he wasn't our grandfather, we loved him and will miss him so much. My grandmother was taken to the hospital due to stress of it all but we thank God that she is stable and is at home. Though it is hard to suffer the loss of a loved one it brings to mind that "The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." May HE be glorified in our sorrow, exalted in our loss, and magnified in our grief. We have been shown that God gives the grace we need to endure everything He sends our way, and we have to trust Him in all our ways.  Please pray as my Grandmother is still grieving the loss of her husband, and for us as we help her and grieve as well. Your Friend, Haviland~

Crafting Home Decorations

As a Christian I am called to be a prayer warrior. This is much easier said then done. I have come to realize the importance of good friends that can come alongside you and keep you accountable and encourage you.  This past year the Lord has brought such a wonderful friend into my life. As we have been encouraging each other to use the powerful tool of prayer, we decided we could craft a prayer board in order to remind us and encourage us to pray daily. I highly recommend doing this as a family or church craft. What a wonderful way to lift up the requests of our brethren and ourselves!  I was able to introduce my friend to the wonderful store of Hobby Lobby! We may have spent a lot of money, however, it was for a good cause!  I do believe they turned out very nicely! I would encourage you to ask people for prayer requests. Prayer is such a powerful tool and we are called to use it.  Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay...
