Simpsonville Mud Run!

Dear Friends, We have had such an exciting day!!  Today My sis (Bess)  and I, along with some friends, participated in the Simpsonville Mud Mania! Also known as a....... Mud Run!!! We had sooooo much fun! Our team was called the Hobbits (can you guess why? lol) Left to Right is: Sarah Kelly, Chloe Patterson, Me and My sis Bess.  Getting ready to start! My family (including my brother Camilo) was so sweet as to  come out in the rain, & early in the morning to cheer us on. And off we go!!  Our run had 24 obstacles and the course was about 3.5 miles. The obstacles included: climbing up dirt mounds, crawling in trenches full of dirty water, swimming though deeper trenches, crawling under an army jeep, crawling under logs, walking over logs, climbing steep mud hills, scaling an 10. ft. wall, and a large waterfall-- just to name a few. It took us about an 1 and a half to compete because we walked most of it. LOL Having so much fun!  Running fas

My Character Sketch on John and Betty

This past Sunday I did my first Character Sketch. I was so nervous! But thankfully it went well. I hope you enjoy it and that you will be richly blessed!        THE STORY OF JOHN & BETTY STAM Betty held her baby in her arms, singing softly to this infant child, all to aware that this was their last night together.  Her husband John, tied to a bedpost, could not sleep either. Only two weeks before they had arrived at their mission station with three month old Helen Priscilla, full of hope and eager for ministry. But on this cold winter night, their quiet lullabies were a parting sorrow, for tomorrow they would die. Elisabeth Alden was born on February 22, 1906. She was the daughter of missionary parents in China. When her family returned to the states she enrolled in Wilson Collage in Pennsylvania, from which she graduated. Knowing that she needed more preparation for the mission field, she then went to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. It was there that she met John Stam

Sisters!

God created this amazing relationship called sisters.  We live together, play together, fight together, worship together and grow up together.  I have two sisters and its been so much fun to become closer through the years.  We aren't just sisters--we are best friends and no matter what happens we will always be there for each other.  I'm not sure when this picture was but it was around 2011-2013 Bess and I at her last recital las May Grabbing lunch during our home remodel. This picture was taken in April of last year And this is a recent picture, taken on my grandmothers birthday. All I can say is I thank God for my sisters and all my family. Your Friend, Haviland~
