An Overdue Life Report

 Dear Readers,

I do believe this post is long overdue. My life has been a crazy roller coaster! Since I last posted, I have had a few adventures. The best one being that the Lord has blessed me with a loving and kind husband. Not to mention handsome! Christopher and I met almost 6 years ago through a mutual friend. We quickly become good friends and kept in frequent communication. In the spring on 2019, he and his brother came down for a short visit before he left for basic training in the U.S. Army. We wrote each other weekly, although at this time we were still just friends. My father and I were able to attend his graduation later the same year and it was then we both realized there could be something more. Christopher was sent to South Korea for a year. Much happened within that year! We become dating just two weeks after he left and were married by Double Proxy in July of 2020! The Lord truly put everything together before our eyes and brought complete peace to both our parents and ourselves.

Oh, what a joyous day when Christopher arrived home! We had our wedding ceremony and celebrated the Lord's marvelous work in our lives!

We were able to take our wedding pictures at a beautiful, old church!

I have truly been blessed with some wonderful and sweet In-Laws! I was very excited to created this picture of three generations!

Although I haven't known Papa for very long, His relationship is one I have grown to cherish and enjoy!

David sure has grown into a tall young man! He sure towers over his short sisters :)

My lovely mothers

So very dashing, indeed!

Oh, how I cherish the friendship I have with these two sisters! I was so very happy to have them by my side!

My dear sister and I were only married about 1 1/2 weeks apart from each other and only wish we could have had a double wedding! How fun that would have been!

Although it has been a year of great changes, it has also been the greatest year of my life! The Lord has been so gracious, so good and kind! Our prayer is that we will glorify and honor the Lord with our marriage and we will raise our children to follow Him with all their heart!

Sisters!

God created this amazing relationship called sisters.  We live together, play together, fight together, worship together and grow up together.  I have two sisters and its been so much fun to become closer through the years.  We aren't just sisters--we are best friends and no matter what happens we will always be there for each other.  I'm not sure when this picture was but it was around 2011-2013 Bess and I at her last recital las May Grabbing lunch during our home remodel. This picture was taken in April of last year And this is a recent picture, taken on my grandmothers birthday. All I can say is I thank God for my sisters and all my family. Your Friend, Haviland~

My Character Sketch on John and Betty

This past Sunday I did my first Character Sketch. I was so nervous! But thankfully it went well. I hope you enjoy it and that you will be richly blessed!        THE STORY OF JOHN & BETTY STAM Betty held her baby in her arms, singing softly to this infant child, all to aware that this was their last night together.  Her husband John, tied to a bedpost, could not sleep either. Only two weeks before they had arrived at their mission station with three month old Helen Priscilla, full of hope and eager for ministry. But on this cold winter night, their quiet lullabies were a parting sorrow, for tomorrow they would die. Elisabeth Alden was born on February 22, 1906. She was the daughter of missionary parents in China. When her family returned to the states she enrolled in Wilson Collage in Pennsylvania, from which she graduated. Knowing that she needed more preparation for the mission field, she then went to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. It was there...

In Loving Memory of Paul Valdez

Dear Readers, This past Friday at 5:10 Am, a very dear member of our family passed away unexpectedly. Although he wasn't our grandfather, we loved him and will miss him so much. My grandmother was taken to the hospital due to stress of it all but we thank God that she is stable and is at home. Though it is hard to suffer the loss of a loved one it brings to mind that "The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord." May HE be glorified in our sorrow, exalted in our loss, and magnified in our grief. We have been shown that God gives the grace we need to endure everything He sends our way, and we have to trust Him in all our ways.  Please pray as my Grandmother is still grieving the loss of her husband, and for us as we help her and grieve as well. Your Friend, Haviland~
